Bonstorf Barrows
The Bonstorf Barrows (German: Grabhügelfeld von Bonstorf) are the remains of a much larger barrow cemetery on the Lüneburg Heath in north Germany dating to the late neolithic or early bronze age. They are located east of the village of Bonstorf, part of the municipality of Hermannsburg in the Lower Saxon district of Celle. The site comprises six, closely packed burial mounds or barrows.

Wietzer Berg
The Wietzer Berg is a low hill, 102 metres above sea level, on the Lüneburg Heath in the north German district of Celle. It lies about 2 kilometres west-southwest of the tourist village of Müden (Örtze) and is a popular destination in the generally flat landscape of the Südheide Nature Park. On its summit in an area of heathland is the Lönsstein monument, which commemorates the heath poet, Hermann Löns.

Müden (Örtze)
Müden is a village in the municipality of Faßberg in the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath in the German state of Lower Saxony. The village, which is situated in the district of Celle has around 2220 inhabitants and is a very popular tourist centre, whose catchment area includes Hamburg, Bremen and Hanover. It is surrounded by large tracts of forest and heathland. The nearest big towns are Lüneburg (60 km north), Soltau (30 km west), Uelzen (45 km east) and Celle (32 km south).

Großes Moor (near Becklingen)
The Großes Moor near Becklingen (German: Großes Moor bei Becklingen) is a nature reserve in Germany with an area of 850 hectares, of which 666 hectares lie in Celle district and 184 hectares in Soltau-Fallingbostel district. Since 16 December 1985 the area has been protected under conservation law. An area of 776.6 hectares is designated as a special area of conservation (FFH-Gebiet).

Panzerlehrbrigade 9
The Panzerlehrbrigade 9 is a formation of about 5,000 men strong within the German Armed Forces or Bundeswehr, which is subordinated to the 1st Armoured Division in Hanover. The bulk of the brigade is stationed in Munster. Two battalions are based in Neustadt am Rübenberge.
