Bourtange Moor

The Bourtanger Moor was a bog in eastern parts in the Dutch provinces of Drenthe and Groningen and the bordering German districts of Bentheim and Emsland. A remaining stretch on the border between Drenthe and the districts Emsland and Betheim is now a nature reserve, the Internationaler Naturpark Bourtanger Moor-Bargerveen.

Sellingerbeetse

Sellingerbeetse is a village in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is a part of the municipality of Vlagtwedde, and lies about 5 km southwest of Sellingen and 8 km north of Ter Apel. The core village has a population of about 210, while the Sellingerbeetse including the surrounding countryside has a population of around 760. The village has a church, Opwaarts! (Upwards!), built in Amsterdam School style in 1925 by the Dutch Reformed Church.

Jipsingboertange

Jipsingboertange is a town in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is a part of the municipality of Vlagtwedde, and lies about 25 km northeast of Emmen. In 2001, the town of Jipsingboertange had 123 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.11 km², and contained 47 residences. The statistical area "Jipsingboertange", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 180.

Ter Apel Monastery

Ter Apel Monastery (Dutch: Klooster Ter Apel) is a former monastery in the village of Ter Apel in the northeastern Dutch province of Groningen. It is the only monastery in the larger area of Friesland and Groningen that survived the Reformation in a decent condition, and the only remaining rural monastery from the Middle Ages in the Netherlands. The convent buildings house a museum for monastery and church history and for religious art, as well as two contemporary art galleries.

HVDC DolWin1

HVDC DolWin1 is a high voltage direct current link under construction, which should connect the Trianel Borkum-West II offshore wind park with the power grid of the German mainland. The link will consist of a 165-kilometre-long bipolar cable, from which 75 kilometres will be laid in the sea and 90 kilometres will lay underground on land.
