Ems-Oriental is the name of a département of the First French Empire in present Germany. It is named after the river Ems. It was formed in 1810, when the Kingdom of Holland was annexed by France. Its territory is part of the present German region East Frisia. Its capital was Aurich. Wiegboldsbur
The formerly independent village of Wiegboldsbur in East Frisia in North Germany has been part of the municipality of Südbrookmerland since the regional reform of 1972.
