Potshausen

Potshausen is part of Ostrhauderfehn, a municipality in Leer district, Lower Saxony, Germany. Potshausen is famous in northern Germany for its Evangelisch Ostfriesische Landvolkshochschule. Nordgeorgsfehn Canal

The Nordgeorgsfehn Canal (German: Nordgeorgsfehnkanal or NGFK) is a canal in East Frisia, Lower Saxony, Germany. It connects the Jümme with the Ems-Jade Canal. It is 31.8 km long and 13 m wide. The maximum permitted draught of boats on the canal is 1.4 m and the maximum permitted height is 2.2 m. The canal has eight locks and twenty five bridges of which ten are swing bridges. The canal is owned by the state of Lower Saxony and is operated by NLWKN.

Jümme is a Samtgemeinde (group of municipalities) in the Leer district of Lower Saxony in Germany, named after the river Jümme. It has an area of 82.34 km² and a population of 6,421. Soeste

The Soeste is a river in Lower Saxony in the Cloppenburg district. The Soeste forms from two source brooks in Hesselnfeld and Egterholz, two small settlements in the Emstek municipality. It flows northwest through Cloppenburg, where its water flow was already sufficient for water mills to be operated. The Soeste flows into a dam at Thülsfelde, which was built in the 1920s. From there it flows through the towns Friesoythe and Barßel.
