Salzhaff
The Salzhaff is a part of the Bay of Wismar that is almost cut off from the Baltic Sea by the spit of the Wustrow and Boiensdorfer Werder peninsulas. It is located south of the town of Rerik in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and southwest of the seaside resort of Kühlungsborn in Central Mecklenburg. It is linked to the Bay of Wismar by the Breitling. 33rd G8 summit
The 33rd G8 summit took place at Kempinski Grand Hotel in Heiligendamm in the old Duchy of Mecklenburg in the Northern German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on the Baltic Coast. The group of eight leaders met together from 6 to 8 June 2007. The locations of previous G8 summits to have been hosted by Germany include: Bonn (1978, 1985); Munich (1992) and Cologne (1999).

Grand Hotel Heiligendamm
The Grand Hotel Heiligendamm is a luxury hotel in Heiligendamm on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast in Germany. The Hotel was formerly managed by the Kempinski hotel group. The complex consists of six buildings which were all built as a seaside resort between 1793 and 1870. The main building (Haus Grandhotel) was built in 1814 and reopened on June 1, 2003 after three years of reconstruction work.

Zappanale
Zappanale is an annual music festival held outside Bad Doberan, a German town previously part of East Germany. The festival was first held in 1990, and the program features various bands performing the music of the late composer and guitarist Frank Zappa.
