Arendsee (lake)

The Lake Arend is a natural lake in the Altmark region, northern Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is 23.3 m above sea level, and its area is 5.14 km², its depth nearly 50 m. It is the largest and deepest natural lake in Saxony-Anhalt. The like lies on top of a salt dome and developed by repeated caving-in events that continued into historical time; at the end of the 19th century it was believed to have been created by an earthquake in 815.

Arendsee-Kalbe

Arendsee-Kalbe was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel (district), in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated east of Salzwedel, and north of Gardelegen. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Arendsee. It was disbanded on 1 January 2010. Altmark

Aland (river)

The Aland is a river in the German states of Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, left tributary of the Elbe. It is the continuation of the river Biese, which is the continuation of the river Milde. The Aland is 27 km long, whereas the total Milde-Biese-Aland system is 97 km long. The Aland flows into the Elbe in Schnackenburg.
