Wolfen, Germany

Wolfen is a town in the district Anhalt-Bitterfeld, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 July 2007 it is part of the town Bitterfeld-Wolfen. It is situated approximately 6 kilometres northwest of Bitterfeld, and 20 kilometres south of Dessau.

Östlicher Saalkreis ("Eastern Saale district") is a former Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the Saalekreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated east of Halle (Saale). The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Landsberg. It was disbanded in September 2010. Johann Friedrich Naumann

Johann Friedrich Naumann (14 February 1780 – 15 August 1857) was a German scientist, engraver and editor. He is regarded as the founder of scientific ornithology in Europe. He published The Natural History of German Birds (1820–1844) and The Eggs of German Birds (1818–1828). His father Johann Andreas Naumann (1744–1826) was a naturalist and his brother Carl Andreas Naumann (1786–1854) was also an ornithologist.
