The station is listed by the rail authorities with the abbreviation of DDE. The Borsdorf–Coswig and Riesa–Chemnitz lines cross in Döbeln Hbf. The first station in Döbeln opened in 1847 at nearby Großbauchlitz along with the Riesa–Chemnitz line.
