Liegau-Augustusbad

Augustusbad is a watering-place of Germany, in the Free State of Saxony, 10 miles east from Dresden, close to Radeberg, in a pleasant valley. It has five saline chalybeate springs, used both for drinking and bathing, and specific in feminine disorders, rheumatism, paralysis and neuralgia. State Museum of Zoology, Dresden

The State Museum of Zoology (German: Staatliches Museum für Tierkunde) in Dresden is a natural history museum that houses 10,000-50,000 specimens, including skeletons and large insect collections. Many are types. The collection suffered war damage and whilst catalogued the database is not computerized. Loans are possible and material can be studied in the collection. ZMD

Radeberger Brewery

Radeberger started in 1872 when the brewery was founded as „Zum Bergkeller,“ in Radeberg, a town in the vicinity of Dresden. Radeberger ranks number 9 among Germany's best selling breweries. This beer was also brewed for a period for the King of Saxony. It was the first brewery in Germany to brew beer exclusively in the Pilsner style and which still exists today. Radeberger elected to change its name to the present name of Radeberger Exportbierbrauerei.
