Niedervogelgesang, a settlement in Germany, has been part of the city of Pirna since 1922. It was founded in the 16th century in the form of a Vorwerk on the left bank of the Elbe river. Its name translates as "Lower-Birdsinging."

Posta, Pirna

Posta, situated on the right bank of the river Elbe, has since 1922 formed part of the town of Pirna in the Sächsische Schweiz (Saxon Switzerland) district of the Free State of Saxony, Germany. It consists of Nieder- (Lower) and Oberposta (Upper Posta). The earlier fishing and stone-quarrying settlements of Niederposta (first mentioned in 1417) and Oberposta (1547) are today quiet residential areas.

Sonnenstein Castle

The Sonnenstein castle is a castle in Pirna, near Dresden, Germany. It housed a mental hospital, which operated from 1811 to the end of World War II in 1945. During the War, it functioned as an extermination centre for the Third Reich Action T4 program. It was shut down following the war, and reopened in 1970.

Geibeltbad Pirna

The Geibeltbad Pirna is a public bath and water sport facility in Pirna near Dresden, Saxony in Germany. Finished under the Nazis on July 20, 1937, it is one of the largest baths in the world. The 20,000 square metre site was renovated and upgraded in 2001-02 to include an indoor swimming pool, wellness centre and other facilities. From 1937 to 1990 Geibeltbad was a venue for the German swimming championships as well as a training site. In 2006, the bath welcomed 233,588 visitors.
