The Central German Metropolitan Region (Metropolregion Mitteldeutschland in German) is one of eleven metropolitan regions in Germany. Mittweida is a former district in the Free State of Saxony, Germany. Zschopau (river)

The Zschopau is a river in Saxony, Germany, left tributary of the Freiberger Mulde. Its source is in the Erzgebirge, on the slopes of the Fichtelberg, near the border with the Czech Republic. It flows north through the towns Schlettau, Wolkenstein, Zschopau, Flöha, Frankenberg, Mittweida and Waldheim. It joins the Freiberger Mulde in the village Schweta, west of Döbeln.

Sachsenburg concentration camp

Sachsenburg was a Nazi concentration camp in eastern Germany, located in Frankenberg, Saxony, near Chemnitz. http://museen. smwk. sachsen. de/00000368. html Along with Lichtenburg, it was among the first to be built by the Nazis, and operated by the SS from 1933 to 1937. The camp was an abandoned four-story textile mill which was renovated in May 1933 to serve as a "protective custody" facility for dissidents such as Jehovah's Witnesses, who opposed the Nazi regime.
