Botanischer Garten Adorf

The Botanischer Garten Adorf is a botanical garden located at Waldbadstraße 7, Adorf, Saxony, Germany, created in 1997-1999 as an adjunct to the Klein-Vogtland miniatures park. It is open daily in the warmer months, and contains over 11,000 plants from high mountains around the world. In 2008, a small fire destroyed 300 plants and a part of the attached miniature park. By 2009, all damages had been repaired.

Elster Viaduct (Pirk)

The Elster Viaduct near Pirk (Hof) is one of the most unusual motorway bridges in Germany. The building of this bridge began in 1937, but was stopped in 1940 due to the chaos created by World War II. Since this bridge then was in the restricted area of the East Germany, construction was not restarted until 1990. In June 1990 preliminary investigations began, and finally in September 1990 the building of the bridge began anew. In August 1993 the bridge was opened to traffic.

Bad Elster Spa Museum

The first Spa Museum (Bademuseum) in Bad Elster, Saxony was opened in 1880 due to the work of Prof. Dr. Robert Flechsig (1817–1892), Bernhard v. Heygendorff (1843–1916) and the Royal Saxony court photographer Emil Tietze (1840-1831). It soon closed. After World War 2, Dr. Bruno Rudau (1891–1970) and a few other Bad Elster citizens created a new museum which suffered the same fate.
