The Schnepfenthal Institution (Salzmannschule Schnepfenthal) is a school in Schnepfenthal, a section of Waltershausen, Germany, founded in 1784 by Christian Gotthilf Salzmann, originally for the purpose of raising the children of his large family and testing new educational theories.
