Euboea

Euboea is the second largest Greek island in area and population, after Crete. The narrow Euripus Strait separates it from Boeotia in mainland Greece. In general outline it is a long and narrow, seahorse-shaped island; it is about 150 kilometres long, and varies in breadth from 50 kilometres to 6 kilometres .

Greek National Road 44

Technological Educational Institute of Chalkida

The Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Chalkida is a higher-educational institute supervised by the Minister of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs. Technological Educational Institute of Chalkida (TEIHAL) was founded in 1983 and since 1986 is located in Psahna, Evia very close to the city of Chalkida. Lefkandi

Lefkandi is a coastal village on the island of Euboea. Archaeological finds attest to a settlement on the promontory locally known as Xeropolis, while several associated cemeteries have been identified nearby. The settlement site is located on a promontory overlooking the Euripos, with small bays forming natural harbours east and west of the site.

South Euboean Gulf

The South Euboean Gulf (Greek: Νότιος Ευβοϊκός Κόλπος, Notios Evvoïkos Kolpos) is a gulf in Central Greece, between the island of Euboea and the Greek mainland. With a total length of approximately 50 km and a width of 10 to 20 km, it stretches nearly diagonally from northwest to southeast, from the Euripus strait, which connects it to the North Euboean Gulf, to the Petalies Gulf near Agia Marina in the south.
