Peraia, Pella

Peraía is a village in the Pella regional unit of Macedonia, Greece on the bank of Lake Vegoritida. The village is located south of the town of Arnissa within the Vegoritida Municipality which belongs to the Province of Edessa. The village was formerly inhabited by a Turkish-speaking Muslim population. The original Turkish name of the village was Kotsana. After the 1922 population exchange between Turkey and Greece, the village was inhabited by Greeks who had come from Asia Minor.

Lake Vegoritida

Lake Vegoritida (Greek: Λίμνη Βεγορίτιδα Limni Vegoritida) is a large natural lake of western Macedonia, northern Greece. It is situated 6 km northeast of Amyntaio and 18 km west of Edessa, at 540 m elevation. The Voras Mountains lie to the north.

Karydia, Pella

Karydia is a village in the municipality of Edessa, Pella regional unit, northern Greece. It is situated 9 km northwest of Edessa. At the church in the locality Kosteno there is an annual festival on 21 May, the day of Saint Helena.
