Ziros, Lasithi

Ziros is a village in the municipality Siteia, Lasithi regional unit, Crete, Greece. It was the seat of government for the former municipality Lefki. The village of Ziros is 30 kilometers south of Siteia on the Siteia - Piskokefalo - Epano Episkopi - Chandras - Ziros road. There are a number of Byzantine churches in the area.

Karydi, Itanos

Karydi is a village on the island of Crete, Greece, part of the municipal unit Itanos. It is 25 km from Sitia, 23 km from Palekastro and 600m above sea level. It is reached either by a road that passes through various mountain hamlets or by a new road that branches off the road from Palekastro to Zakros near Adravasti.

Agios Stefanos, Crete

Agios Stefanos is a village within the Lasithi prefecture in eastern Crete. At one time, it belonged to the former province of Sitia and later to the former Makry Gialos municipality. Today, it is part of Ierapetra municipality. It is located 30 kilometers north-east of Ierapetra, 40 kilometers southwest of Sitia, and six kilometers east of Stavrohori. It can be approached through the famous forest of Pefkoseli. Its patron is Saint Stephen.

Magasa, Crete

This article is about a Neolithic settlement in Crete; for the town in Italy, see Magasa, Italy. Magasa is a Neolithic settlement on the eastern part of the island of Crete in present day Greece. Magasa is notable as a Neolithic Cretan settlement for some use of large room sizes in its multi-roomed residences. The ben-and-but style of housing design with some use of mud-dried brick has been noted as similar to that found in Neolithic Knossos.
