Technological Educational Institute of Crete

Located in Heraklion, the Technological Educational Institute of Crete (Greek: Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Κρήτης) was founded in 1983 to provide higher technological education to the students of Greece. Centre for Technological Research of Crete

The Center for Technological Research of Crete (CTR-Crete) (Greek: Κέντρο Τεχνολογικής Έρευνας Κρήτης) in Heraklion was founded according to the presidential decree No. 143/Φ. Ε. Κ. 123/20-6-2001 and is under the supervision and financing of the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs (Greece). It is a Private Legal Body, self-governed within the framework of articles 11 and 12 par. 1 of 1771/1998 Greek law and its internal regulation.

Voulismeno aloni

Voulismeno Aloni is a sinkhole located on the foot of Strouboulas mount, next to the old national road, at the 14th kilometer from Heraklion to Rethymnon, in the island of Crete (35°19′48″N, 25°01′05″E). It is a ground subsidence with a circular shape up to 90 meters in diameter. Its slopes are steep and vertical reaching up to 60 meters of height from the bottom of the formation. Descent into the interior is feasible on foot from the South-West side following a certain pathway.

Pankritio Stadium

Pankritio Stadium is a sports stadium located in Heraklion on the island of Crete. It was completed on December 31, 2003, and officially opened on August 11, 2004, just before the beginning of the 2004 Summer Olympics to host the football match Greece vs. Switzerland. It has a capacity of 27,000 seats.

Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium

Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium (Greek: Γήπεδο Θεόδωρος Βαρδινογιάννης) is a stadium in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. It was built in 1951 (not at its present state) as the home stadium of OFI Crete. The stadium is commonly known by its nickname, Yedi Kule ("Seven Towers" in Turkish).
