Damasta, Heraklion
Damasta is a village in the municipality of Malevizi, in the Heraklion regional unit of Crete, Greece. According to the 2001 census, it numbers 305 inhabitants. The village is first attested in the 16th century. During World War II, it was the site of the Damasta sabotage on 8 August 1944, and the Germans executed 30 inhabitants as reprisals on 21 August.

Voulismeno aloni
Voulismeno Aloni is a sinkhole located on the foot of Strouboulas mount, next to the old national road, at the 14th kilometer from Heraklion to Rethymnon, in the island of Crete (35°19′48″N, 25°01′05″E). It is a ground subsidence with a circular shape up to 90 meters in diameter. Its slopes are steep and vertical reaching up to 60 meters of height from the bottom of the formation. Descent into the interior is feasible on foot from the South-West side following a certain pathway.

Achlada, Crete
Achlada (inhabitants 119 in 2001) is a village in the Cretan municipality of Malevizi, and belongs to the municipal unit of Gazi, in Heraklion regional unit. The inhabitants are shepherds and farmers who cultivate mostly fruits and vegetables in the surrounding hills and landscape, which are few kilometres from the sea shore. In the village is the church of Saint John the Prodrome and Saint Triphon with a wooden carved iconostasis.

Palaiokastro, Heraklion
Palaiokastro or Paliokastro is a coastal village located 9 km west of Heraklion on the island of Crete. It is situated in front of a 70 meter long pebbled beach leading to a cove with rapidly deepening waters that are protected from the prevailing northerly winds. On the southern end of the beach rises a steep calcareous rock. During the Venetian occupation of Crete extensive fortifications were built on this rock, housing cannons that secured the bay of Heraklion.
