Lake Ioannina (Greek: Λίμνη Ιωαννίνων Limni Ioanninon), also Pamvotida or Pamvotis is the largest lake of Epirus, located in the central part of the Ioannina regional unit in northern Greece. Ioannina to the west and the town of Perama to the north are urban settlements fringing the lake while the remaining of its periphery is composed of farmland. Soufari Sarai is a large historical building in the castle of Ioannina, Greece. It was used by the Ottomans as a cavalry school. It is located on the north side of the Castle, near the Turkish Library. It is a large rectangular building with two floors of 980 square metres each. It was built between 1815 and 1820 by Ali Pasha. It has been restored, and is used by the State Archives.

It is built on the western slope of the Athamanika mountains, at 750 m elevation. It is on teh watershed between two small rivers, that both flows towards the Arachthos. Its population is 143 people (2001 census). It is 4 km south of Vathypedo, 4 km northwest of Prosilio, 4 km west of Syrrako and 19 km southeast of Ioannina.

The Archaeological Museum of Ioannina is a museum located in Litharitsa Park in the centre of Ioannina, Greece. The museum contains many artifacts unearthed in the surrounding area such as Palaeolithic tools, from Kokkinopilos, Asprochaliko and Kastritsa, the ruins of Dodoni and ancient cemeteries such as Vitsa and the Oracle of Acheron. The museums also has many inscriptions, headstones, and a collection of coins.
