Battle of Naxos
At the Battle of Naxos (376 BC) the new Athenian fleet of Chabrias decisively defeated the Spartans. This was the beginning of Athens's recovery of its Aegean hegemony following its loss in the Peloponnesian War. The victory was decided by Phocion's courageous and skillful action on the left wing. In western waters another great Athenian commander, Timotheus, won the battle of Alyzia against Sparta in 374 BC.

Glynado
Glynado (Γλυνάδο) is a community on the island of Naxos, in the Cyclades, Greece. Its population averages at 509 (2001 census) but increases in the summer months. Glynado's inhabitants mainly subside of farming in the fertile plain below the village, known as Leivadia, but have also ventured into hospitality services given its picturesque location sprawled out on a hill top 8 kilometres from the Island's capital Chora. It belongs to the municipality of Naxos.

Naousa is a village in the Cyclades. It is located in the northeastern corner of the island of Paros, and it has a population of 2,870. In the summer, when it is warm and sunny almost every day, Naousa attracts many tourists from all around Europe because of the climate and the nearby beaches, like Kolympithres. During the winter, it is cold and occasionally snowy.
