Buba
Buba is the largest city in southern Guinea-Bissau, lying on the Rio Grande de Buba, near the Contanhez National Park. It has a population 6,815 (2008 est). It is also a seaport and is the capital of the Quinara Region. Former President of Guinea-Bissau Kumba Yala planned to move the capital city to Buba. Construction is under way for a deepwater port that could host three 70-tonne vessels at any given time. It is being built by Angola Bauxite in order to export bauxite.

Lagoas Cufada Natural Park
The Lagoas de Cufada Natural Park is found in Guinea-Bissau. It was established on 1 December 2000. This site is 890 km². It was the first protected area in Guinea-Bissau. Chimpanzees are reported to occur in the National Park, making nests in oil palms, but details are lacking about density and size of the chimpanzee population within the protected area (Kormos et al. 2003)
