Nai Chung

Nai Chung is a countryside in northeastern New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located at the east of Ma On Shan, partly lying within the Ma On Shan Country Park. Despite its proximity to the neighbouring areas administered by Sha Tin and Sai Kung districts, it is actually administered by Tai Po District. It is covered by the Sai Kung North constituency at the Tai Po District Council. Nai Chung lies in a larger area collectively known as Shap Sze Heung.

Three Fathoms Cove

Three Fathoms Cove or Kei Ling Ha Hoi is a cove in Tai Po District, Hong Kong. It is surrounded by Shap Sze Heung (十四鄉), Kei Ling Ha (企嶺下), Yung Shue O (榕樹澳), Wong Tei Tung (黃地峒) and Sham Chung (深涌). Most of its east shore constitutes part of the Sai Kung West Country Park. The cove's north is connected to Tolo Harbour and Tolo Channel in Hong Kong. The islands Sam Pui Chau (三杯酒) and Wu Chau (烏洲) are located within the cove.

Sai Sha Road

Sai Sha Road is a road in Hong Kong, which links together from Sai Kung District to Sha Tin District in the New Territories. The road also passes through some area along the coast of the Tolo Harbour in northern Sai Kung Peninsula that is under the administration of the Tai Po District. Before the area of Sha Tin New Town extended to Ma On Shan, the name of the road was called Nai Chung Access Road.

Plover Cove Reservoir

Plover Cove Reservoir, located within Plover Cove Country Park, in the northeastern New Territories, is the largest reservoir in Hong Kong in terms of area, and the second-largest in terms of volume. It was the first in the world to construct a lake from an arm of the ocean. Its main dam was one of the largest in the world at the time of its construction, disconnecting Plover Cove from the sea.

Walled villages of Hong Kong

Once common throughout China, walled villages can still be found in southern China and Hong Kong. Most of the walled villages in Hong Kong are located in the New Territories. In Punti Cantonese, Wai (圍, Walled) and Tsuen (村, Village) were once synonyms, hence most place names which include the word 'wai', were at some point in time a walled village.
