Kolaghat

Kolaghat is a census town situated on the banks of the Rupnarayan River in the Midnapore East district of West Bengal. It is located in the Panskura–II community development block of the Tamluk subdivision. It is also the headquarters of the Panskura–II CD block. Kolaghat Thermal Power Station is located here, which is managed by West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited, a department of the State Government of West Bengal.

College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat

The College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat (CEMK) was conceived by Professor Shankar Sen, an educationist and former vice chancellor of Jadavpur University, in 1998. Courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation(NBA) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The college is financed under the World Bank TEQIP II programmer for modernising labs. It has a campus area of 26.925 acres and is fully residential college.
