Krishnagiri Dam

Krishnagiri Dam is a dam located 7 km from Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu, India, between Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri which irrigates thousands of acres of land around Krishnagiri. The Dam is operational from 1958, inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu K. Kamaraj. It has a gross capacity of 1666.0 M. Cft at FRL.

Anchettidurgam

Anchettidurgam or Anchetty Durgam is a fort in the present day Krishnagiri district. In the 18th century the fort was under the rule of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. The fort was captured by the British in July 1791.
