Sarayu

The Sarayu (also Sarju; Dev. सरयु saráyu- f. , later Dev. सरयू sarayū-) is a river that flows through the Indian states of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. This river is of ancient significance, finding mentions in the Vedas and the Ramayana. The Sarayu forms at the confluence of the Karnali and Mahakali in Bahraich District. The Mahakali or Sharda forms the Indian-Nepalese border. Ayodhya is situated on the banks of river Sarayu.

Kali River (Uttar Pradesh)

The Kali River originates in the Doon Valley and passes through Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Bagpat districts, before merging with Hindon River, which goes on to merge with the Yamuna River near Delhi. The total length of the river from its origin up to its confluence with the Hindon river (a tributary of Yamuna) is 150 km. The river is named Kali, possibly because the colour of the river is black.

Sarda River

Sharda River forms part of the border between the nations of India and Nepal. It is called the Mahakali River in Nepal and Kali Gad by local pahari people . This boundary was established by the 1816 Sugauli treaty, but a portion of this border near Tibet has been in dispute. After leaving the border, the river flows southeast across the Ganges basin until it merges into the Ghagra river, an affluent of the Ganges.

Fatehpur is a town in Barabanki district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is a Tehsil, Development Block, Police station(Thana) and Nagar Panchayat It is the biggest town of Barabanki. The State Government has notified Fatehpur tehsil of District Barabanki under the linguistic minority population where speakers of Urdu constitute 15 per cent or more of the local population.
