Kankhal

Kankhal is a small colony in Haridwar in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand state in India. Mentioned in the Vayu Purana and the Mahabharata as Kanakhala, Kankhal is one of 'Panch Tirth' (Five Pilgrimages) within Haridwar, with other spots being Gangadwara, Kushwart (Ghat in Kankhal), Bilwa Teerth and Neel Parvat.

Haridwar railway station

The Haridwar Railway Station (Hindi: हरिद्वार रेलवे स्टेशन), station code HW, also known as Haridwar Junction is the only railway station in the holy city of Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. It falls under the Moradabad division of the Northern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. Haridwar was first connected with railways, via Laksar, through branch line in 1886, when the Awadh and Rohilakhand Railway line was extended through Roorkee to Saharanpur, this was later extended to Dehradun in 1900.

Sapta Puri are seven holy pilgrimage centres in India where the word 'puri' means "town" or "city" suffixed to the word 'sapta' meaning "seven". Pashulok Barrage

The Pashulok Barrage is a barrage located on the Ganges River just south of Rishikesh in Dehradun district, Uttarakhand, India. In a run-of-the-river scheme, the main purpose of the barrage is to divert water into a canal on the east bank of the river which feeds water to the Chilla Power Plant downstream at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:29|58|34|N|78|13|11|E| | |name=Chilla Power Plant }}, 4 km upstream of Haridwar.
