Mota'ain, also spelled Mota'in or Mota Ain, is a village in Bobonaro District in East Timor and is the country's main road border crossing into West Timor in Indonesia. The East Timor-Indonesia border runs along the River Mota. Mota'ain is 118km west of the East Timor capital Dili and 3km west of the town of Batugade. Timor

Timor is an island at the southern end of Maritime Southeast Asia, north of the Timor Sea. It is divided between an independent sovereign state, East Timor, and West Timor, which is part of the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara. The island covers an area of 30,777 square kilometres. The name is a variant of timur, Malay for "east"; it is so called because it lies at the eastern end of the Lesser Sunda Islands.

Balibo

Balibo is a town in East Timor situated approximately 10 kilometres from the Indonesian border. It is located in the subdistrict of Balibo, Bobonaro District. It was estimated by Human Rights Watch that 70% of the town was destroyed during the militia violence that preceded the vote on East Timorese independence.
