The Pacific Place Jakarta is an international shopping mall located in the Sudirman Central Business District, Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia. Jakarta Convention Center

The Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) also known as Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center is located in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. It has a plenary hall that has 5,000 seats, JCC also has an assembly hall with an area of 3,921 m². JCC has 13 various sized meeting rooms. JCC is connected to The Sultan Jakarta Hotel (formerly Jakarta Hilton International) by an underground tunnel. The tunnel has moving walkways and is air conditioned.

Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, officially Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno, formerly Gelora Senayan Main Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. It is named after Sukarno, Indonesia's first President. It is mostly used for football matches and has seating capacity for over 80,000.

2009 Jakarta bombings

At around 07:47 until 07:57 WIB on 17 July 2009, the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia, were hit by separate bombings five minutes apart. Three of the seven victims who were killed were Australians, two from The Netherlands, and one each from New Zealand and Indonesia. More than 50 people were injured in the blasts. Both blasts were caused by suicide bombers, who checked into the hotels as paying guests several days earlier.

2003 Marriott Hotel bombing

The 2003 Marriott Hotel bombing occurred on 5 August 2003 in Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta, Indonesia. A suicide bomber detonated a car bomb outside the lobby of the JW Marriott Hotel, killing twelve people and injuring 150. Those killed were mostly Indonesian, with the exception of one Dutch businessman, one Dane, and two Chinese tourists. The hotel was viewed as a Western symbol, and had been used by the United States embassy for various events.
