Jakarta Kota Station
Jakarta Kota Station is a terminal train station, located in the old city core of Jakarta. The station was appointed as a historical and cultural landmark in 1993. The station was first named as the Batavia Zuid (or South Batavia), the name of which was used until the end of the 19th century. The river flows from its source near Puncak on the highlands of Mount Gede, West Java to the Jakarta Bay. The Ciliwung river is heavily polluted. Many poor citizens are forced to live by the river because it is all they can afford. There is no organised rubbish collection for this area, so waste ends up in the river.
