Gunung Padang Megalithic Site

Gunung Padang is a megalithic site located in Karyamukti village, Cianjur regency, West Java Province of Indonesia, 50 km south-west of the city of Cianjur or 6 kilometers from Lampegan station. It is the largest megalithic site in South-Eastern Asia. The existence of the site is mentioned in Rapporten van de Oudheidkundige Dienst (ROD, "Report of the Department of Antiquities") in 1914. The Dutch historian N. J. Krom also mentioned it in 1949.

Mount Gede

Mount Gede or Gunung Gede (Big Mountain in Sundanese) is a stratovolcano in West Java, Indonesia. The volcano contains two peaks with Mount Gede as one peak and Mount Pangrango for the other one. Three major cities, Cianjur, Sukabumi and Bogor, are located in the volcano complex at the east, south and northwest, respectively, along with suburban growth.

Kebun Raya Cibodas

Kebun Raya Cibodas (KRC or the Cibodas Botanical Gardens) is a 125-hectares botanical garden located approximately 1,300-1,425 meters on the slopes of Mount Gede, 23 kilometers to the northwest of the township of Cianjur. The gardens are in the Cibodas subdistrict of West Java, Indonesia, around 100 kilometers from Jakarta. They were founded in 1862 by the Dutch botanist Johannes Elias Teysjmann as an extension of the Bogor Botanical Gardens.
