Sahand University of Technology (SUT)(دانشگاه صنعتي سهند- تبریز) is one of the best and prestigious engineering schools in Iran. Located in the northwest of Iran, 20 km southwest of Tabriz in Sahand satellite city, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The university offers 2 Associate degrees, 11 bachelors degrees, 45 masters degrees, and 21 Ph. D degrees in 8 colleges. It is named after the nearby mountain of Sahand.

Yadegar-e Emam Stadium
Yadegar-e-Emam Stadium (Sahand) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tabriz, Iran, and is the second largest stadium in Iran. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium was built in 1996 and has a capacity of 72,000 people. Tractor Sazi F.C. plays there games at the stadium. Yadegar-e-Emam Stadium is part of the Tabriz Olympic village, which includes a 7,000 seater swimming pool.

Tabriz National Library
The Tabriz Central Library, formerly Tabriz National Library, was founded in 1956 by Nakhjavani with help from the people of Tabriz, Iran. It contains several handwritten books. The library is called National because of its non-benefit and non-governmental structure. Initially the library started by the books which are gathered by people specially by Nakhjavani, the building also constructed without any government investment. The original building was in the vicinity of Ark.

Abarshahr
Abarshahr was a satrapy (province) of the Sassanid Empire. The population was supported by the Hari river, which was used for irrigation. Strabo cited the regions abundant wine-production. Cities in the region were Candac, Artacauan, and Apameia, and Pushang, among others. The capital was a vital point of administration and of communications toward Bactria, India, and Sagistan. The region was involved in the Indian and Chinese trade. Its governor bore the unique title of kanarang.

American Memorial School in Tabriz
American Memorial School of Tabriz, established in Tabriz in 1881, is one of the most prominent schools of its kind. After the World War II the school was renamed Parvin High School by Iran's Ministry of Education.
