Arasbaran
Arasbārān or Qaradağ, is a UNESCO registered biosphere reserve (since 1976) and an Iranian Dept. of Environment designated "Protected Area" in East Azarbaijan Province, Iran, with a varying altitude from 256m in the vicinity of Aras River to 2896m and covers an area of 78560 hectares. It include some historical places like Babak Khorramdin's Castle. The biosphere is also home for 23,500 nomads who are living in transition buffer in 2000 altitude.

Khodaafarin Bridges
Khodaafarin Bridges are two arch bridges across the Aras River, which connect the territory de facto controlled by non-recognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and de jure belonging to Azerbaijan (it is part of Azerbaijan according to international law) with Iran. The first one with 11 arches was built in the 11–12th centuries and the second with 15 arches in 13th century.

Vorotan River
Vorotan is a river in Transcaucasia, a left tributary of the Araks River. It rises in the northern part of the South-Armenian province of Syunik, flows for 119 km in a generally southeastern direction through Armenia and then for another 59 km through Nagorno-Karabakh, the region claimed by both Armenia and Azerbaijan, before emptying into the Araks at the border with Iran. The river flows mostly through mountainous country and in several places through deep canyons.
