Gorgan Airport is an international airport in Gorgan, Iran. It is located at some 2 kilometers west of the Gorgan-AqQala Highway, and some 6 kilometers north of the city of Gorgan, the capital of Golestan province. Behkadeh Raji
Behkadeh Raji is the first leper colony, which was built as an economically self-sufficient, independent village. It was built in 1961 on initiative of Farah Pahlavi in Iran. The aim of the village concept was to not only achieve optimal care of lepers by the coexistence of healthy and diseased but also information and dialog with the public about leprosy sufferers. This is the same Colony that Forough Farrokhzads film Khaneh siah ast is about.
