Hawizeh Marshes

The Hawizeh Marshes are a complex of marshes that straddle the Iraq and Iran border. The marshes are fed by the Tigris River in Iraq and Karkheh River in Iran. The Hawizeh marsh is critical to the survival of the Central and Hammar marshes, which also make up the Mesopotamian Marshes, because they are a refuge for species that may recolonize or reproduce into the other marshlands.

Hoveyzeh County

Hoveyzeh County is a county in Khuzestan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Hoveyzeh. It was separated from Dasht-e-Azadegan County in 2008. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 30,750, in 5,417 families. The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Neysan District. The county has two cities: Hoveyzeh and Rafi.

Tricarina

Tricarina is a genus of decapod crustaceans, known from a single incomplete fossil specimen from the Cretaceous of western Iran. It has a flattened body with three longitudinal ridges, which give it its name.
