Turoe stone

The Turoe stone is a granite stone decorated in a Celtic style located in the village of Bullaun, County Galway, Ireland, 6 km north of Loughrea off the R350 regional road. The stone is now positioned in a covered protective structure on the lawn in front of Turoe House, set in a concrete base surrounded by a metal cattle grill. The Turoe stone is National Monument of Ireland Nr. 327 (NM#327)

Sarsfields GAA (Galway)

Sarsfields Galway is a GAA club consisting of the parish of Bullaun, New Inn and Woodlawn in East County Galway, Ireland. Winners of two All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship's. Sarsfields Galway has the distinction of being the first club to capture defend their All-Ireland Club title. In 1993 Sarsfield's defeated opponents Kilmallock, County Limerick, Ireland in their first All-Ireland club final.

Woodlawn, historically known as Mota and Moote (Irish: Móta/Móta Gráinne Óige, meaning "moat of young grain"), is a village in County Galway, Ireland, on the R359 regional road between the main road and rail networks which traverse east-west, 10 miles from Ballinasloe and approximately 30 miles from Galway City. The name Woodlawn applies to a wide area, of which Woodlawn railway station, Post Office and the Church of Ireland parish church are the central points.
