Athenry railway station

Athenry railway station, serves the town of Athenry in County Galway. The station lies on the Dublin to Galway intercity service and Galway to limerick and Galway to Athenry commuter services. Passengers for Westport and Ballina travel to Athlone and change trains. It once served Tuam and Claremorris in the north. This service may be resumed; see Western Rail Corridor.

Rahasane turlough

Rahasane turlough is a turlough, that is a karst lake, which has no surface outlet and is surrounded on all sides by rising land. It is the largest surviving turlough in Ireland. Water collects seasonally in the basin and drains away only through evaporation or seepage into the underlying limestone. It consists of two basins which are connected at times of flood but separated as the waters decline. It covers 257 ha at an altitude of 10–30m above sea level.

Clarinbridge GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Clarinbridge in County Galway, Ireland. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling.
