Aughris (Irish: Eachrois, meaning "point of the horses") is a coastal townland in County Sligo, in the west of Ireland. It is also the name given to a prominent headland that includes the townlands of Aughris, Garryduff, Kilrusheighter and Rathglass. County Sligo

County Sligo is a county in Ireland. It is located in the Border Region and is also part of the province of Connacht. It is named after the town of Sligo. Sligo County Council is the local authority for the county. The population of the county is 65,393 according to the 2011 census. An archaeological recovery suggests the county may have been one of the earliest places of human settlement in Ireland.

The name is an anglicisation of the Irish-language words abhainn beag, or "little river", after the river on which it is situated: a tributary of the Owenmore (abhainn mór, or "big river"). Owenbeg is located at Latitude 54.2336 and Longitude -8.9467 at an altitude of 83 m above sea level.

Killeenduff

Killeenduff (Irish: An Cillín Dubh, meaning "small black church") is a townland within the boundaries of the Roman Catholic parish of Easky, County Sligo in Ireland. Located about a mile from the village of Easky, it is home to The Split Rock.
