Stadio San Nicola

The Stadio San Nicola is a multi-use all-seater stadium designed by Renzo Piano in Bari, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Associazione Sportiva Bari. Castello Normanno-Svevo (Sannicandro di Bari)

The ‘’’Norman-Swabian Castle’’’ of Sannicandro di Bari is located in the medieval part of town, between the characteristics houses with external staircases, surrounded by the ancient Swabian moat, filled and turned into a street in 1836. It is composed of two distinct parts, put into each other, built in separate periods by the Byzantines and the Swabians.

Orto Botanico dell'Università di Bari

The Orto Botanico dell'Università di Bari (10,000 m²), also known as the Orto Botanico di Bari and Hortus Botanicus Barensis, is a botanical garden operated by the University of Bari, and located at via Orabona 4 I-70126 Bari, Apulia, Italy. It is open Monday through Friday mornings. The garden was established in 1955, opened in 1960, and in 1964 doubled in size. The garden also contains a greenhouse (145 m²), and a herbarium with about 40,000 specimens.

Air raid on Bari

The air raid on Bari was an air attack by German bombers on Allied forces and shipping in Bari, Italy, on 2 December 1943 during World War II. In the attack, 105 German Junkers Ju 88 bombers of Luftflotte 2, achieving complete surprise, bombed shipping and personnel operating in support of the Allied Italian campaign, sinking 27 cargo and transport ships and a schooner in Bari harbor.
