Marro

The Marro is an Italian river in the province of Reggio Calabria. Its source is south of Cittanova and north of the Aspromonte. It has two tributaries which flow north from their sources in the Aspromonte into the Marro. The Marro flows northwest and empties into the Tyrrhenian Sea near Gioia Tauro.

Port of Gioia Tauro

The Port of Gioia Tauro in southern Italy is one of the largest seaport in Italy and the seventh largest container port in Europe in 2010. It is situated along the route connecting Suez to Gibraltar, one of the busiest maritime corridors in the world. Pylons of Messina

Scilla Lighthouse

Scilla Lighthouse (Italian: Faro di Scilla) is a lighthouse in Reggio Calabria, southern Italy. It is located on a terrace of Castello Ruffo di Scilla, on the Strait of Messina, and is important in directing ships onto the Strait from the north. Built in 1913, it has a small cylindrical tower, 6 feet high, painted white with a black base. At the top is the lantern surrounded by the gallery. The lighthouse has a focal plane of 72 metres.
