Port of Pozzallo

The Port of Pozzallo is the major port of the province of Ragusa on the Mediterranean coast of Sicily and is one of the most important harbours on the island. The port was initially designed for a volume of goods of only 500.000 tons a year but today it has risen to over 1.500.000 tons. The port is located at the western end of Pozzallo, which is 50 nautical miles from Malta. It is well placed for connections to north Africa.

Noto Radio Observatory

The Noto VLBI Station is a radio observatory located on Sicily, southern Italy, outside of the city of Noto. The facility is operated by the Istituto di Radioastronomia di Bologna. The antenna is a 32-metre diameter paraboloid fitted with an active surface and receivers for astronomy observations from 1 to 86 GHz. The Noto antenna is used in conjunction with other antennas throughout Europe and the world for VLBI.

Noto Cathedral

Noto Cathedral (Italian: Cattedrale di Noto; La Chiesa Madre di San Nicolò) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Noto in Sicily, Italy. Its construction, in the style of the Sicilian Baroque, began in the early 18th century and was completed in 1776. It is dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra, and has been the cathedral of the Diocese of Noto since the diocese's establishment in 1844.

Helorus
