Kabartonjo

Kabartonjo is the district headquarters of Baringo North District, Rift Valley Province, Kenya. Kabartonjo has a population of about 2,000. Its residents are mainly of the Arror dialect of the Tugen sub-tribe in the Kalenjin cluster. Kabartonjo was founded in the early 20th century by Scottish missionaries who founded a church and a school. Kenya's second president, H.E. Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi went to school here, the primary school is now named in his honor.

The Kerio River is a river in Rift Valley Province, Kenya. It flows southward into Lake Turkana. It is one of the longest rivers in Kenya, originating near the equator.

Lake Kamnarok

Lake Kamnarok is a lake in Kenya, at the base of the Kerio Valley. The name originated from the word narok, which is a species of water plant that was widely found in the lake in the early stages of the lake formation. The lake is 1 km² in size. It was in existence before 1961 but the flood rains of that year led to its enlargement. The flooding disaster saw people living in the area being evacuated in order to save lives.
