Tropojë Lake

Tropojë Lake (Albanian: Liqeni i Tropojës) is a small mountain lake in the Prokletije mountains in western Kosovo, only 180m from the Albanian border. The lake has an oval shape and is 100m in length and 40m in width. Rivers that originate on this lake flow downwards to join larger rivers and then finally flow into the White Drin.

Prilep, Kosovo

For the city in the Republic of Macedonia, see Prilep Prilep is a village situated in western Kosovo, close to Đakovica. The village has a population of 2,674 according to data from 2002, of which 99.6% are ethnic Albanian. In the beginning of the 19th century, there were only about 5 to 10 houses, while today there are over 300. During the Kosovo War of 1999 the village was nearly completely destroyed. Albanian and Serbian forces were located in Prilep and fought each other.

Rrasa e Zogut

Rrasa e Zogut is a mountain in the Prokletije range in Kosovo, 1 kilometre from the border with Albania. It is 2,309 m high and located 3.5 kilometres south-east of Đeravica, the highest mountain in Kosovo.

Junik Mountains

The Junik Mountains (Albanian: Bjeshket e Junikut), part of the Prokletije range, are on the border between Albania and Kosovo. They reach a height of 2,280 m . On the Kosovan side are located in the Metohija region, some 8.5 km to the north-west of the Junik commune.

Đeravica Lake

Đeravica Lake is a mountain lake in Kosovo located just under the summit of Đeravica. The lake is about 2,200 m above sea level. It is shaped like a tooth and is the origin of the Erenik river which flows down to the Metohija region of western Kosovo. The maximum length of this lake is 240 m and the width is 120 m . The lake is known for is its many salamanders, which feast on flying insects. The lake has a maximum depth of 3.8 m . The Lake contains many fish. It has an area of 2 hectares.
