Obilić is a town and municipality in central Kosovo, belonging to the Pristina district. The municipality includes the town of Obilić and 19 villages, with a total population of approximately 21,548. The municipality is located immediately north-west of Pristina on the main road to Kosovska Mitrovica. It was created in 1989, prior to which it formed part of Pristina municipality.

Gazimestan speech
The Gazimestan speech was a speech given on 28 June 1989 by Slobodan Milošević, then President of Serbia. It was the centrepiece of a day-long event to mark the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo, which spelled the defeat of the medieval Serbian kingdom at the hands of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the annexation of most of Serbia's territory aside from the Serbian Despotate.

Gazimestan
Gazimestan is the name of a monument commemorating the historical Battle of Kosovo, situated about 6-7 kilometres north-northeast of the actual battlefield, known as Kosovo Field, or in Albanian: "Fushë Kosovë/Fushë Kosova". The monument was designed by Aleksandar Deroko and built in 1953 under the authority of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. It is in the shape of a medieval tower. Gazimestan is reached from the Lazarevo-Mitrovica highway, on a 50 m hill above the plain.

Kosovo Polje, literally Blackbird's Field, also often rendered Field of Blackbirds (Albanian: Fushë Kosovë or Fushë Kosova; Serbo-Croatian: Kosovo Polje, Косово Поље) is a town and municipality in the Pristina district of central Kosovo, at 42.63° North, 21.12° East, or approximately eight kilometres south-west of Pristina. In 2011 the Fushë Kosovë Municipality had a total population of 34,718.

Tomb of Sultan Murat
The Tomb of Sultan Murat (also known as Meşhed-i Hüdâvendigâr) is a 14th-century mausoleum dedicated to the Ottoman Sultan Murat I located in Kosovo. Murat I (nicknamed Hüdavendigâr, "the God-liked one") died in the Battle of Kosovo (1389), and his remains were taken to Bursa and buried in his tomb (at the Hüdavendigâr complex). But his son Bayezid I still made another tomb in Kosovo in the name of his father.
