Madinat al-Hareer, is a proposed 250 km planned urban area in Subiya, Kuwait, an area just opposite Kuwait City. Upon construction, it would include the Burj Mubarak al-Kabir, a natural desert reservation of 2 square kilometres, a duty free area which will be beside a new airport, in addition to a large business center, conference areas, environmental areas, athletic areas, and areas that concentrate on media, health, education, and industry.

Bubiyan Island

Bubiyan Island is the largest island in the Kuwaiti coastal island chain situated in the north-western corner of the Persian Gulf, with an area of 863 square kilometres . The island is uninhabited. It is separated from the Iraqi mainland in the northeast by Khawr Abd Allah and from the Kuwaiti mainland in the southwest by Khawr as Sabiyah. The latter channel trends around the northern end of Bubiyan Island, separating it from Warbah Island.

Miskan Island

Miskan Islandis a small, uninhabited island in the Persian Gulf off Kuwait. It is to the south of Bubiyan Island. It is about 1.2 kilometers long and 800 meters wide (area about 0.75 km²). The distance between it and Failaka Island, which lies to the south, is approximately 3.2 kilometers. The distance between Miskan and the nearest part of mainland Kuwait is about 24 kilometers.

Mubarak Al Kabeer Port

Mubarak Al Kabeer Port is a controversial project under construction in the largest island in the Kuwaiti coastal island chain, Bubiyan Island. The port is intended to overlook the Persian Gulf. The port is scheduled to be done and completely operational by 2016.
