Tajura

Tajura, also spelt Tajoura, is a city in Libya, in the Tripoli District, on the Mediterranean coast 14 kilometres east of Tripoli in the Tripolitania region. Mitiga International Airport

Mitiga International Airport is an airport in Libya, located about 8 kilometres east of Tripoli's city centre. The public airport was established in 1995. Domestic flights to Benghazi and Misrata are flown, as well as international service to Istanbul, Turkey; Rome, Italy and Aleppo, Syria. The airport houses the headquarters of Buraq Air.

Wheelus Air Base was a United States Air Force base located in the Kingdom of Libya. Wheelus Air Base was originally built by the Italian Air Force in 1923 and known as Mellaha Air Base. Today the facility is known as Mitiga International Airport.

Souq al Jum'aa

Souq al Jum`aa is a district in Tripoli, Libya. The Souq al Jum'aa residents are known to be the original inhabitants of Tripoli. The population (2011) is estimated to be at 450,000. 95% of the native residents are considered ethnically Arab. The rest are usually black Africans. The area was named after a market called Friday's Market, which is what the name translates to in Arabic. The market was called by this name because it only opened on Fridays.
