Action of 1 August 1801

The Action of 1 August 1801 was a single-ship action of the First Barbary War fought between the American schooner USS Enterprise and the Tripolitan polacca Tripoli off the coast of modern-day Libya. As part of Commodore Richard Dale's Mediterranean Squadron, Enterprise had been deployed with the American force blockading the Vilayet of Tripoli. Enterprise, under the command of Lieutenant Andrew Sterett, had been sent by Commodore Dale to gather supplies at Malta.

Tripoli Central Hospital

The Tripoli Central Hospital is a general hospital, located in Tripoli, Libya. Tripoli's second-largest hospital, it is located downtown and occupies a big complete block between Zawia Street (شارع الزاويه) and Saidi Street (شارع السيدي.). It houses the city's main and the oldest trauma center as well Libya's first and only organ-transplantation program.

Tripoli International Fair

Tripoli International Fair, abbreviated TIF,, is an annual commercial exhibition and trade event taking place in Tripoli, Libya. It involves participants from North Africa and is organized by The General Board of Fairs (GBF). The Tripoli International Fair was founded in 1927 and is considered to be the oldest Trade Fair in Africa. The 2008 session of TIF took place between 2 and 12 April 2008.

7 October Stadium

7 October Stadium is a football stadium based in center of Tripoli, Libya. The stadium holds 5,000 people and was built in 1939. It was the only football stadium in Tripoli, Libya before the June 11 Stadium was built in the 1970s. It is being used now as training ground for Al-Ittihad Club.

GMR Stadium

The Great Manmade River Stadium (GMR or GMMR stadium) is a football stadium situated just a few metres away from the 11 June Stadium in the heart of Tripoli's sporting city. The stadium is named after the Great Manmade River. The stadium has a capacity of around 20,000 and is currently the home of Libyan Premier League clubs Al Wahda, Al Tersana and Alamn Alaam. The stadium was opened on 17 May 2000, and was celebrated with a friendly match between Middlesbrough F.C. and A.S. Bari.
