Glinciszki massacre

Glinciszki massacre refers to a mass murder that occurred on 20 June 1944 in the village of Glitiškės. In the massacre, thirty-seven mostly Polish villagers were killed by Nazi subordinated Lithuanian policemen retaliating for the death of four policemen (from the 258th Police battalion) that occurred during a fight with element of the 5th Brigade of the Polish resistance of Armia Krajowa earlier that day.

Algirdas

Algirdas (c. 1296 – May 1377) was a monarch of medieval Lithuania. Algirdas ruled the Grand Duchy of Lithuania from 1345 to 1377, which chiefly meant monarch of Lithuanians and Ruthenians. With the help of his brother Kęstutis, who defended the western border of the Duchy, he created a vast empire stretching from the Baltics to the Black Sea and reaching within fifty miles of Moscow.

Europos Parkas

Europos Parkas (the "Park of Europe") is a 50-hectare open-air museum located 17 km from Vilnius, Lithuania.
