Kruopinė (Žybartonys) Hill is a hill located near Vilnius regarded as the second highest point in Lithuania. Its elevation is 293,65 metres. The status of the highest elevation in Lithuania is now being attributed to Aukštojas Hill (293,84 metres). Juozapinė Hill (292,7 metres), formerly known as the highest hill in Lithuania, is currently regarded as the third highest elevation in Lithuania.

Juozapinė Hill is a hill located near Vilnius, formerly regarded as the highest point in Lithuania. Its elevation is 292,7 metres (957 feet); its latitude and longitude are 54.4667/25.5667. The status of the highest elevation in Lithuania is now being attributed to Aukštojas Hill (293,84 m). Juozapinė Hill is in fact only the third highest elevation in Lithuania, the second being Kruopinė (Žybartonys) Hill (293,65 m) situated approximately 10 km west of Juozapinė Hill.

Medininkai Castle
Medininkai Castle, a medieval castle in Vilnius district, Lithuania, was built in the late 13th century or the first quarter of the 14th century. The defensive perimeter of the castle was 6.5 hectares; it is the largest enclosure type castle in Lithuania. The castle was built on plain ground and was designed for flank defence. The rectangular castle's yard covered approximately 1.8 hectares and was protected by walls 15 metres high and 2 metres thick. The castle had 4 gates and towers.

Šalčininkai District Municipality
Šalčininkai District Municipality is one of 60 municipalities in Lithuania. It has one of biggest Polish minority populations in Lithuania, with 31,223 or over 80% (2001 census) of the population claiming Polish ethnicity. Šalčininkai is the largest town in and the administrative center of the district. The south-eastern border of the municipality with Belarus creates a peninsular shape of Lithuanian territory almost completely surrounded by Belarus.

Kurier Wileński is the main Polish-language newspaper in Lithuania. Printed in Vilnius, it is the only Polish-language daily newspaper published east of Poland. A direct descendant of both the 19th-century newspaper of the same name and the Czerwony Sztandar newspaper, created by the Soviet authorities in 1953 as a means of Sovietization of the Polish diaspora left in the Polish areas annexed by the Soviet Union.
