Brandenbourg

Brandenbourg is a village in the commune of Tandel, in north-eastern Luxembourg. It lies in the valley of the Blees river, and is the site of the 10th century Brandenbourg Castle. As of 2001, the village had a population of 189. Until 1 January 2006, Brandenbourg was part of the commune of Bastendorf, which was merged with the commune of Fouhren to form the modern commune of Tandel.

Bastendorf

Bastendorf is a small town in the commune of Tandel, in north-eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 371. Bastendorf was a commune in the canton of Diekirch until 1 January 2006, when it was merged with the commune of Fouhren to form the new commune of Tandel, in Vianden. The law creating Tandel was passed on 21 December 2004.

Michelau is a small town in the commune of Bourscheid, in north-eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 271. It is served by Michelau railway station, which lies on Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois' Line 10.

Tandel

Tandel is a commune and village in eastern Luxembourg, in the canton of Vianden. It lies close to the border with Germany. As of 2001, the village of Tandel, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 87. Other villages within the commune include Bastendorf, Bettel, Brandenbourg, Fouhren and Longsdorf. The commune of Tandel was formed on 1 January 2006 from the former communes of Bastendorf and Fouhren (in the canton of Vianden).

Fouhren was a commune in the canton of Vianden until 1 January 2006, when it was merged with the commune of Bastendorf to form the new commune of Tandel. The law creating Tandel was passed on 21 December 2004.
