Tizi N'Tacheddirt

Tizi N'Tacheddirt (pronounced Tizy Antasheddirt) is a small village high up (2314m) in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is the highest settlement in the Rhirhaia valley, about 2.5 miles further up from Ikkiss. It has a population of 200 to 300 people. Access is limited to a steep and winding footpath.

Imlil, Atlas Mountains

Imlil is a small village in the high Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is 1,740 metres above sea level. A portrait of Imlil and the problems and prospects of Morocco's mountain populations appeared in 1984 in the book by James A. Miller called Imlil and published by Westview Press. It is close to the mountain Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Imlil makes a good base for attempting to summit Toubkal. Imlil is the centre of mountain tourism in Morocco due to its unique position.

Oukaïmeden

Oukaïmeden is one of the premier skiing resorts on the African continent. It is located in Morocco, about 80 kilometres from Marrakech, in the Atlas mountains near Jebel Toubkal. The skiing area is at the altitude between 2600 and 3200 metres and it has a couple of lifts. There are some hotels and ski rental facilities. However, Oukaimeden does not usually get much snow and skiing on the steeper slopes is usually not possible.
